The North Berwick U15 ended their season with a fine win at the Gala 7s and collected their third trophy of this campaign.

First match in the pool stages was with Hawick and despite the reshuffle of the timings and lack of a real warm up the lads did what was required of them to record a 26 – 0 win. Next up was Langholm and in similar fashion to their opener they recorded a 33 – 0 win. Forrester’s, who had suffered injuries in their opening matches (were defeated by both Hawick and Langholm), withdrew which left NB as group winners.
Gala were the opposition in the semi final but the NB lads raised their game to prevent any possession to their opposition. Tries were scored through the whole squad and they progressed into the final after a 52 – 0 win.
The final, played on the main pitch at Netherdale was with Stirling County who had looked slick in their qualifying matches. North Berwick were quickly on top and moved the ball wide for Salisbury to start the scoring. When forced to defend wide, Slater and Elms took advantage of the additional space through the centre. Hardly a tackle was missed all game and North Berwick went on to win 41 – 0 to win their event at Gala for the second year in succession.

A good day out was had by all. They players were again a credit to the club and were warmly congratulated by their band of faithful supporters and a number of opposition coaches.

Many thanks go to Gala for the invitation to their day of youth rugby and also to the traveling support.
