At relatively short notice, a bus load of North Berwick mini rugby players was organised and transported to Murrayfield to support Edinburgh at last Friday's first home game of the season vs Dragons.
The players took part in a skills session prior to the game, along with Dunbar minis, and were introduced to some of the Edinburgh players that later played in the match.
The P4s and P5s formed the guard of honour prior to kick off and the P6s played a brief game against Dunbar on the main pitch at half time. Also at half-time - a couple of players represented NB in a mass "kick at goal" to christen the new posts.
All of the lads were a credit to North Berwick Rugby Club and to the town. As usual, I suspect that the bus journey was the highlight of the trip, however, despite not making it home until 11pm, I'm pleased to hear that the majority made it to training at 9.15 the next morning!
Many thanks to the Community Development guys at Murrayfield for inviting us along.
